MISLEADING CLAIMS CAN BE COSTLY

Security screen providers must be able to substantiate any claims they make about compliance, approvals or performance.
Be cautious of vague or unsupported claims:

❌ “Meets all relevant standards” – Which standards? Ask for the specific Australian Standard number and compliance labelling

❌ No clear branding – If there’s no identifiable, reputable security screen system behind the product, what are you actually buying?

❌ Unsubstantiated third-party endorsements – Claims of “independent testing” = Red flag!

Under Australian Consumer Law, advertising must not be misleading or deceptive. If a security screen claim is being made, it must be accurate, specific, and able to be substantiated.

When choosing security screens look for:
✅ Installation that includes the AS 5039 compliance label confirming it meets Australian Standards (see photo for correct labelling)
✅ Manufactured in Australia
✅ A reputable, recognised security screen system (branded)
✅ Installation by a professional, experienced installer

We’re on the hunt for a reliable Factory Hand to join our manufacturing team, producing high-quality security doors and flyscreens.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in a fast-paced factory environment.

What you’ll be doing:
✔️ Assisting with the manufacture & assembly of security doors and flyscreens
✔️ Cutting, measuring & assembling aluminium frames and mesh
✔️ Operating factory machinery & hand tools safely
✔️ Loading/unloading materials and finished products
✔️ Quality checking products to meet our standards
✔️ Keeping the workspace clean, safe & organised
✔️ Supporting senior fabricators when needed

What we’re looking for:
✔️ Factory or manufacturing experience (preferred, not essential)
✔️ Aluminium fabrication experience highly regarded
✔️ Confidence using hand & power tools
✔️ Strong attention to detail
✔️ Physically fit & reliable
✔️ Team player with a great work ethic
