Happy Father’s Day to the dads, grandads, and father figures who mean the world to us.

As the years go by, roles can gently shift. Sometimes the ones who cared for us now need a little care themselves. And that’s okay. 🏡

To every father and father figure out there, thank you for everything. You are seen, loved, and appreciated. 💜

Tell us in the comments: what’s one thing your dad or grandad taught you that you’ll never forget? 👇

What an insightful and inspiring event Senior Helpers Casey was fortunate enough to be invited to attend, hosted by Southern Migrant & Refugee Centre.

We had the opportunity to hear from some wonderful local experts and community leaders, sharing their experiences, insights and stories around diversity, cultural inclusivity and creating welcoming workplaces.

We loved learning how different industries approach workplace culture, embed inclusivity into their teams, and create environments where diversity is celebrated and respected like Senior Helpers Casey.

These conversations are so important in helping us learn, challenge our thinking and continue to build stronger, more inclusive workplaces and communities.

A big thank you to Southern Migrant & Refugee Centre for starting the conversation and to all of the wonderful speakers for sharing their knowledge and experiences with us. ✨

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men, especially as the years go by. The good news is, when it’s found early, it’s often very treatable.

A simple chat with your doctor could make all the difference.

Here are a few starter steps to take:
🩺 Book a check-up if you’re over 50 (or 40 with a family history)
💬 Talk openly with your GP about testing
👀 Watch for changes and don’t brush them off

Whether it’s help getting to appointments or a friendly face during recovery, you don’t have to do it alone. We’re here to lend a caring hand at home. 💙

Now what? 💭

That’s exactly what so many families think when the approval letter finally arrives.

Getting approved for aged care support is a big step. But it can also feel like the start of a whole new maze of providers, budgets, and fees. But you don’t have to figure it out alone. 🤝

At Senior Helpers, we sit down with you, break it all down in plain language, and help you compare what actually matters for your loved one.

If you’re at that “Okay… now what?” stage, reach out. We’d love to help you make sense of it all.

Today is Daffodil Day. 🌼
Cancer touches so many of us. Today we stand with those living with a diagnosis, we remember loved ones who are no longer with us, and we thank the carers and health professionals who give so much.
A cancer journey can be tiring and overwhelming. Some days, even small tasks feel like a lot. You don’t have to face it alone.
