Kylie’s personal sporting history in running, cross-fit and strength training, combined with years of experience as a sports physiotherapist, underpins her understanding of not only her own health and wellbeing, but also that of ambitious athletes with specific sporting aspirations. With this holistic approach to health and well-being I assess the person as a whole body, not just a hip or a knee. No injury or symptom occurs in isolation. It is this belief that underpins my assessment for each person. Incorporating assessment and analysis of movement strategies from my years of training under specialists in their fields I have combined many learned skills to my physiotherapy practice. My constant motivation, passion and commitment to succeed as a highly successful physiotherapist underpin my personality and determination that I bring to both my career and the work place. I have a competitive athletic interest, and a motivated and passionate commitment to physiotherapy, I pride myself on working with athletes to achieve their goals, whatever they may be. Professionally I have worked with some great athletes across Melbourne, Adelaide and NZ including ball sports, triathlon, running, ironman, rowing and cross-fit. As a keen and dedicated runner and cross-fitter I understand the mental and physical training required of these athletes and for such events. Having place in full marathons I relate to all athletes with ambition and specific sporting aspirations. I have a huge interesting in the strength and conditioning training of athletes and include this into my rehabilitation management of the athlete through injury or pathology. The clinic has great facilities required to observe an athlete perform, and run a state of the art biomechanics lab, working with and alongside elite runners to ensure their optimum efficiency. We run frequent seminars for runners, rower’s ironman and triathletes in regards to rehabilitation, exercise physiology and nutrition combined.

Plyos Part 2 🔥
Adding a plate = adding more challenge 👊

Once you’ve mastered the basics, elevating your plyos can help improve power, stiffness, control and running performance — but only if you can land well first.

This progression is all about:
✔️ Better force production
✔️ Faster ground contact
✔️ Single leg control
✔️ Building stronger, more resilient runners

Start simple. Quality always wins.

Save this for your next run warm up or strength session 🏃‍♀️💥

Want to take your running to the next level? Check out my 8-week plyometric program on the run strong app.
Designed to help runners improve power, speed, strength, and resilience with guided weekly progressions and video demonstrations.

Plyometric warm up = one of my favourite ways to prep runners before a session 🏃‍♀️

Think of it as waking up the body before you run.
We’re priming the muscles, tendons and nervous system to absorb force, produce power and move efficiently.

A good pre-run plyo warm up can help with:
✔️ stiffness and reactivity
✔️ running mechanics
✔️ calf and tendon capacity
✔️ power and performance
✔️ preparing the body for impact

It doesn’t need to be long or complicated — just intentional.

A few quality movements before your run can make a big difference. 👊

Give this warm up a go before your next run and see how your body.

If I could give any advice to physios just starting out, it would be this.

Your knowledge will grow with time and experience.
But the things people remember most are how you made them feel.

People don’t remember every technique or every detail — they remember how they felt in your care.

Keep learning. Stay curious. Back yourself.

19 years in and I’m still learning every day 🤍

Strength training is one of the most effective tools for injury prevention and performance.

As a sports physio in Cremorne, Melbourne, I spend a lot of my time helping runners and active people build strength so they can keep doing what they love — pain free and with confidence 💪

And I don’t just prescribe it… I’m in the gym doing it too.
