Vale Mr Stephen Flood FRACS(Plast) 20.08.1956-11.05.2026. Affectionately known as Floody. The former head of Plastic Surgery at the Austin. My senior colleague, my mentor and my friend. He was the kindest man I ever worked for. A soul filled with kindness, bearing the weight of life’s tragedies with grace and demonstating by example true leadership. A sensible surgeon who cared deeply about his patients, our vocation and duty to our society. Our profession lost a titan today, a humble man with generosity of spirit without boundary. Mr Flood thank you for all you taught me, thank you for leading by example and above all thank you for the memories, I will never forget. I will miss you immnesely. The cosmos was a stable place with you in it. As you used to say see you on the flipside. RIP
