Knots in Knead is growing, and we’re seeking a skilled Remedial Massage Therapist to join our established Crows Nest clinic.

We’re known for delivering high-quality, results-driven treatment in a calm, professional environment — and we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their craft.

The Role:
• Commission-based position
• $60 per treatment hour
• Flexible days and hours for the right practitioner

You’ll need:
• Remedial qualification (or currently completing)
• Current professional insurance
• Strong communication skills
• The capacity to confidently perform 4+ hours of massage per shift
• A high standard of professionalism and presentation

We’re excited to introduce a specialty service offering from Knots in Knead Massage Therapy:

Remedial Stone Fusion massage treatment.

This 90-minute session is provided exclusively by Guest Practitioner, Carole Gridley, a qualified remedial massage therapist and aromatherapist with more than 25 years’ remedial massage experience.
Remedial stone fusion is the art of combining remedial massage techniques with heated, and, sometimes, cooled or alternating warm and cool stones.

While warmed stones can be placed on specific areas of the body (such as along your spine) for a relaxing and enjoyable experience, remedial stone fusion goes a step further by using the stones with remedial massage techniques. This treatment goes beyond the physical, inducing a grounded and relaxed state of tranquillity.

Heat from the stones penetrates sore, tense muscles and stiff joints, allowing deeper work into layers of muscle without using heavy pressure, which can sometimes cause pain and damage to surrounding tissues.

Cooled stones can dispel heat, which is helpful for reducing pain and inflammation. Using cooled stones is also refreshing, soothing and invigorating, creating a therapeutic balance.

And in some circumstances, applying alternating warmed and cooled stones creates a deeply thermo-therapeutic experience by relaxing muscles, decongesting the tissues and easing sore joints.

The session is 90 minutes’ duration.
