At Donwood, we are incredibly grateful for our international volunteers who bring so much more than an extra pair of helping hands.

We wish a safe travel home to Germany to our wonderful International volunteers Finn, Leo, Sandra, Lenke and Michelle.

Your empathy, kindness and connection to our residents, clients and community has not gone unnoticed.

We have been hosting International volunteers for over 10 years at Donwood. They work full time alongside our engagement team, in Residential, group social support and cafe. We could not do what we do without them.

Thank you to all of our international volunteers, past and present, for the care, compassion and joy you bring to Donwood. You leave lasting memories in our hearts, and we hope Donwood will always hold a special place in yours.

Yeehaw! 🤠 As part of our Cowboys and Cowgirls Week celebrations, we enjoyed a fun line dancing session bringing together staff, volunteers, students from Norwood Secondary, and our residents for plenty of laughs and smiles. Some residents joined in, while others enjoyed sitting back and watching our not-so-perfect dancing either way, it was a wonderful opportunity to encourage connection, movement, confidence, and community spirit.

📢 Important Information for Donwood Residents, Families & Friends – ABS Census 2026

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Census will take place on Tuesday, 11 August 2026.

All Donwood residents are required to complete the Census, and we kindly ask families and friends to support their loved ones with completing the survey if assistance is required.

📄 Census forms are now available from Donwood Administration/Reception between 8:00am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

The Census can also be completed online through the ABS website. https://info.census.abs.gov.au/about/start-census

Once completed, please ensure the Census is returned to Donwood:
✅ Paper forms – please return the sealed envelope to Administration.
✅ Online submissions – please provide Donwood with the receipt number so we can confirm all residents have been accounted for.
