Blackbird

The brown blackbird is waiting
there is no movement in this half-light
the morning is struggling
the worm is refusing

safer to stay underground
to not begin another day
to bury deeper
to avoid the calling light

I wrote this poem a while back, when I struggled with low energy and the weight of inertia sapped my motivation - it's a tough state to be in and one that hints at some internal conflict or 'stuckness'.
There is a way to bring some ease and energy back into our 'system', which may require some initial discomfort before the release, but it's always worth it. Give me a buzz if this resonates with you.

Hi all, I'm setting up this page as a way to let you know I'm in practice 2 days a week, offering 1:1 counselling. I work with men, acknowledging that I'm not an expert so much as a collaborator. I hate it when people tell me what to do, so, I avoid that and trust that you will find your own way. That being said, a lot of guys come to me wanting to be told what to do - to be given strategies and ways forward, so, theres a bit of tension here. Blokes appreciate clarity and practical steps forward - especially when life doesn't make sense, or you can't make sense of yourself.
