Meet Meg, one of our Physiotherapists based in Roma and part of the wider Vital Health team.

Now in her second year with Vital Health, Meg has plenty to share about the transition from new graduate to a more experienced clinician, from building confidence in practice to the experiences that have shaped her along the way.

Over the next month, we’ll be hearing more from Meg as she reflects on her experience with our New Graduate Program and what that second year has looked like for her.

Applications for our 2027 New Graduate Program are now open across Western Queensland and New England, NSW.

It’s a simple philosophy, but an important one: progress looks different for everyone.

Good communication is something we can all help support.

As we recognise Speech Pathology Week, we're sharing a few simple ways to make everyday conversations a little easier. Giving someone time to respond, reducing distractions and allowing them to finish what they're saying can all help create a more supportive communication environment.

This year's Speech Pathology Week theme, Communication creates possibility, is a reminder of just how important communication is for connecting with others, learning, participating and expressing ourselves.

Small changes in the way we communicate can help make conversations more inclusive for everyone.

Swipe through for 5 simple ways you can support communication in everyday life. ➡️

There’s more to balance than simply being able to stand on one leg.

Your brain is constantly combining information from your eyes, inner ear, muscles and joints to understand where your body is and how it needs to respond. If one source of information changes, the others have to work harder. It’s one reason standing in the dark or walking across an uneven surface can suddenly feel much more challenging.

Physiotherapists can assess the different factors contributing to balance and use appropriate exercises to work on areas such as strength, mobility, coordination and balance itself.

To learn more about how Physiotherapy can support your balance, mobility and confidence with movement, contact your nearest Vital Health clinic or book an appointment with our team.

We're very lucky to have Emily as part of the Vital Health team and love the energy and care she brings to her work every day.

Looking after yourself is just as important as looking after the job.

Long hours, repetitive tasks and physically demanding work can take a toll over time. Making time for recovery, staying active and paying attention to your health are all part of looking after yourself, both on and off the tools.

It's easy to put your health on the back burner when there's a job to get done.

But aches, pains and injuries don't have to be accepted as "just part of the job". Taking notice of changes early and seeking appropriate advice can help you understand what's going on and what support may be available.

This Tradies National Health Month, we're encouraging tradies to make their health a priority, both on and off the tools.
