A Small Change In Name — But The Same Care You Know

As my clinic continues to grow, I want to better explain what I actually do within treatments. While remedial massage remains part of my work, my treatments have evolved into a more hands-on manual therapy approach focused on assessment, movement, recovery, and targeted treatment.

This doesn’t mean I’m changing everything people already know and love — it simply better reflects the style of treatment I provide every day in clinic.

My sessions are focused on:

✔ Manual therapy
✔ Remedial massage techniques
✔ Dry needling
✔ Posture and movement assessment
✔ Targeted muscular treatment and TMJ Disorder
✔ Corrective exercises and recovery support

Rather than offering general full body massages, my focus is on understanding the cause of pain or dysfunction and creating treatment plans tailored to each individual.

I’m also excited to soon introduce a new treatment addition into clinic as I continue expanding my knowledge and services to better support my clients.

Thank you for supporting my small business and growing journey.

Big weekend ahead 💥

Two of my incredible clients and are stepping on stage at the ICN bodybuilding competition this weekend — and I couldn’t be prouder.

Watching your dedication, discipline, and consistency over the past months has been nothing short of inspiring. The early mornings, the tough sessions, the commitment to your goals… it all shows.

Not only are you both bringing amazing physiques to the stage, but you carry yourselves with strength, confidence, and grace — and that’s what truly stands out.

From me, both as your therapist (sometimes mentally to 🤣)and your friend — I’m wishing you the absolute best of luck this weekend. Go out there and own that stage ✨

You’ve already done the hard work. Now it’s time to shine.

So proud of you both 🤍 Jenny Homan

Rib flare — and why your back is always tight 👇

Rib flare is when your lower ribs sit lifted and pushed forward instead of stacked over your pelvis.

It might look like a small posture issue… but it changes how your whole body works.

Here’s what’s actually happening:

When your ribs flare up, your core can’t do its job properly.
So your body finds another way to stay upright…

👉 Your lower back takes over
👉 Your muscles stay constantly tight
👉 Your movement patterns become inefficient

That’s why you feel it in two places:

FRONT:
• Ribs sticking out
• Core not engaging

BACK:
• Constant tightness
• Overworked lower back
• That “always stiff” feeling

WHO IS MORE PRONE:
• People who sit for long hours
• Active people and regular trainers
• Runners and athletes with repetitive patterns
• Anyone with previous injuries or long-term posture habits

WHY IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED:
If you leave it, it doesn’t just stay a posture issue…
It can lead to:
• Ongoing lower back pain
• Reduced performance in training
• Increased risk of injury
• Constant tightness that never fully goes away

This is something I assess and treat all the time.

With manual therapy I:
✔️ Release tight structures pulling your ribs out of position
✔️ Improve mobility through your upper back
✔️ Reduce the load sitting on your lower back
✔️ Help your body get back into a better position

Then I give you simple corrective exercises to keep the results long-term.

If your back is always tight or your posture feels off — this could be a big reason why.

DM me or book in and let’s sort it out 🙌

✨ Real Client Words ✨
“Thank you my muscle fairy 🧚‍♀️ My goodness my neck and jaw feel so relaxed! Zero tension you’ve given me some motivation to study 😆 thanks again! So glad CK put me on to you! Absolutely loving your work ❤️ see you in a few weeks time. Lots of love Cassie x”

This is exactly why I’m so passionate about helping clients with **TMJ, jaw tension, and neck pain** 💛

If you’re dealing with:
• Jaw tightness or clicking
• Headaches or facial tension
• Neck stiffness or upper trap pain
• Stress held in your jaw

👉 My treatments combine **dry needling** with hands-on release — targeting the **masseter, temporalis, neck and upper traps** to get to the root of the problem.

Because TMJ is NEVER just about the jaw… it’s all connected.

✨ Fast relief
✨ Deeper muscle release
✨ Improved movement
✨ That “zero tension” feeling

⚠️ Always performed safely and tailored to YOU.

You don’t have to live with that constant tension.

What if your back pain isn’t actually your back?
This is something I see quite often — but not always.
A lot of people come in with lower back tightness and have been trying to stretch or loosen it, but the relief doesn’t last.
In many cases, the back isn’t the main cause.
It might be influenced by things like:
• Hip tightness or restriction
• Glutes not activating well
• Posture over time
• The way your body is moving day to day
Your back can end up working harder to compensate.
So while treating the back can help, it’s not always the full answer.
This is why I take the time to assess properly and look at how your whole body is working together.
Because everyone is different — and your treatment should reflect that.
If your back pain keeps returning and you’re not sure why, there may be more to it.

Tight Hips or IT Band Pain?

Many people think they need to stretch their IT band when their outer hip or knee feels tight. The reality is the IT band itself isn’t something that stretches much.

Often the feeling of “tightness” actually comes from tension in the muscles on the outside of the hip, particularly the glute medius and TFL.

When these muscles become overworked or weak, they can start to grip and create tension that travels through the leg. This can influence how your knee tracks and how your foot loads when you walk or run.

Your pelvis position also plays a role. If the pelvis isn’t sitting in an ideal position, the leg may struggle to move inward properly. This can change the way the foot contacts the ground and sometimes contribute to hip, knee or even low back discomfort.

Because the body works as a chain, hips, knees and feet all influence each other.

What I Often Work On In Clinic

When clients come in with outer hip or IT band tightness, treatment may include:

• Dry needling to release tight glute and hip muscles
• Targeted massage to reduce tension around the hip
• Exercises to improve hip control and pelvic position
• Strength work for the glutes and feet
