We are so excited to share I Am a Yellow Ladybug, a beautiful new book created by Yellow Ladybugs and illustrated by our very own Chenai. 🌈💛

At its heart, this is Katie and Mia's story, following Mia through experiences inspired by real autistic lives and creating space for autistic children to see themselves reflected, understood and celebrated.

What a privilege it was for Chenai to work alongside Katie Koullas and Natasha Staheli to help bring Mia and her colourful world to life. We can already see this book finding its way into many little hands, homes, classrooms and libraries, and helps so many little humans feel seen exactly as they are.

The Book Week orders have now sold out, but the hardcover edition is still available to pre-order.

Congratulations to the whole Yellow Ladybugs team. We are very proud to have been a tiny part of something so special. 💛🌈💕😘

We’re so excited to share that two members of the Rainbow Muse team Chenai and Christina are presenting at the Neurodiversity Affirming (Un)Conference.

It’s two days of lived-experience led learning for professionals who support neurodivergent children, online on 19th and 20th August 2026.

Chenai will be presenting The Sticker Chart Industrial Complex: Beyond Compliance and Towards Belonging, an experiential session using collaborative art-making, storytelling, movement and reflection to explore compliance, masking and nervous system safety. Together, participants will question what happens when “good behaviour” becomes more important than genuine wellbeing, and imagine neurodiversity-affirming spaces grounded in dignity, participation and belonging.

Christina will be presenting The House We Were Trained In, a gentle and creative experiential session where practitioners map the professional “house” they were trained inside, then explore renovating rather than demolishing it. The session holds space for examining how power, privilege and intersectionality run through those walls, and invites practitioners to return to their work with neurodivergent children with renewed wonder, humility and curiosity.

We’re very proud to have both Chenai and Christina contributing to this thoughtful, lived-experience led program.

Sammy & Jesse from Rainbow Muse Collective, & Anna from Harry’s Heart, spent the day at Our Survival Day yesterday. ❤️❤️

This year centred honouring Matriarchs: sovereignty, strength, and care held by First Nations women past and present.

This is what living our values looks like for us: showing up, listening, and standing in solidarity with First Nations peoples.

Deep thanks to for having us and for holding such a powerful day. There’s no other way we would ever choose to spend the day.

Always was, always will be.

** Special guest appearance by Penny Pea, 🫛- and deeply missing & our Billie girl this year 💚🐝

✨ New on the blog ✨
Aysha, one of our amazing the art therapists at Rainbow Muse Collective, shares a beautiful reflection on her 2024 journey. 🥰

Ecologies of Becoming is a powerful piece on learning, unlearning, and practicing therapy in ways that honour culture, autonomy, play, and collective care. It’s a celebration of growth, softness, and star-shaped paths. 💕🌈🙌🏾

Aysha did her placement with us, and now we’re proud to call her one of our own—a shining presence in our evolving constellation.

🌈✨ Happy Birthday to our glitter-hearted, magic-weaving, dog-cuddling, rainbow-loving bestie Sammy — and, by joyful default, to the tiniest co-founder of Little Pea Therapy, the Pea herself. 💕🎉

Sammy, you are a radiant force of softness and strength. A human who holds space like it’s an art form, and reminds us every day that therapy can look like puppets, paint, dog cuddles, and deep, bellyful joy.

You’ve built a world where big feelings are safe, messy magic is sacred, and kids get to be exactly who they are. And we are so lucky to be part of your constellation. 🌟

Wishing you a year of wild joy, sunny naps, yoga on the grass, and endless rainbow sprinkles. We love you BIG.
