As the weather cools down, we often see a shift in how horses move, feel and perform. Just like us, colder temperatures can lead to:
• Increased muscle stiffness
• Reduced flexibility
• Longer warm-up times
• A higher risk of strain or discomfort

This is where regular massage becomes so important - helping to keep muscles supple, improve circulation and support overall comfort through the colder months.

A little extra care now can make a big difference in how your horse feels under saddle and day-to-day 🤍

A gentle winter reminder for appointments:

Equine sessions are booked for a set time including both assessment & treatment, so to get the most out of your session, I kindly ask for:
• A safe, quiet area with level ground.
• Horses to be dry & reasonably clean.
• A handler available if needed.
• Please advise ASAP if your horse is unwell, injured or recently treated by a vet.

⏰ 48hr Cancellation Policy
✅ 48+ hours notice: No charge / deposit refunded
❌ Late cancellations or no-shows: Full session fee applies

I always approach cancellations with understanding - horses will be horses and life happens!

ponies, performance horses, retirees.. I work with them all 🐴✨

just because they’re smaller doesn’t mean they don’t carry tension.
ponies can still develop tightness, soreness and compensation patterns just like any other horse… sometimes even more so.

every session is tailored to the individual horse - their body, their workload and what they need on the day.

this little one might be closer to the ground… but still she’s just as deserving of feeling comfortable, relaxed and able to move freely 🤍

Ever had a ride that felt amazing…
then your horse feels sore the next day? 👀

Nothing went wrong… but here’s why it happens:
👉🏼 Better movement = more demand

When your horse starts:
• Engaging properly
• Lifting through their back
• Using the right muscles

They’re suddenly working harder in areas that might not be fully conditioned yet.
So instead of soreness from “bad work”…
you get it from new, correct effort.

💭 Think gym soreness. same idea!

⚠️ If not managed though, this can lead to:
• Reverting to old movement patterns
• New tension building
• Resistance under saddle

It’s not a bad sign. But it does need support
A better moving horse still needs help to STAY that way.

✨ How massage changed my riding (and why I became a therapist for riders like you!)

I’ve been riding since I was a kid, but at just 22, my body is already showing the wear and tear. A lower back injury (which still plays up sometimes) made me realize how much riding can take a toll, especially when you don’t take care of your body!

➡️ Chronic back pain that flared at times during my ride
➡️ Tight hips that made it hard to sit deep and balanced
➡️ Shoulders so tense they felt like rocks and restricting rein contact

I brushed it off as “just part of riding”… until it started affecting my performance. That’s when I tried prioritising remedial massage for myself.. and it was a game-changer.

🔹 Relief in my hips and lower back
🔹 Better posture in the saddle (hello, deeper seat!)
🔹 Less stiffness after rides

Now, as a remedial massage therapist, I help riders like you:
