Congratulations on a former Holdsworth House Medical Practice GP who has become the nations top Doctor

Professor Michael Kidd AO has been appointed as Australia’s new Chief Medical Officer!

A highly respected medical leader, esteemed GP, educator and UNSW Medicine & Health academic, Prof Kidd, has served as president of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the World Organization of Family Doctors, and was Deputy CMO during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He is the Director of the International Centre for Future Health Systems at UNSW, and starts his role in the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care in June.
