🏆 Congratulations to the Winner of the 2026 Somerville Community Services Promoting Disability Rights and Inclusion Award, Mariah Chick!

Mariah Chick of Rosebery is a committed disability rights advocate and emerging leader. In her role at Company Therapy Centre, she designs and delivers specialised programs supporting children with disabilities. At Combat Therapy Centre, Mariah has contributed to culturally aligned wellbeing programs in remote Aboriginal communities. Through PathFinders NT, Mariah supports at-risk youth to access services, build personal capability, and advocates for strengthened community supports. Within United NT Disability Services, she provides support for independent living settings and consistently champions the right to choice and self-determination. Following a significant neurological injury, Mariah demonstrates extraordinary resilience. She is working towards a degree in social work.

We’re Hiring!
Experienced Cleaner (NDIS Support)

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Cleaner to join our team, supporting NDIS participants in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming homes.

Please note: Female applicants are preferred for this role in line with participant request.

About the Role:
You will play an important role in delivering high-quality cleaning services while respecting each participant’s individual needs, preferences, and routines.

Key Responsibilities:
- General cleaning (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitising)
- Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas to a high standard
- Following cleaning schedules and safety protocols
- Working respectfully with participants and supporting their needs
- Maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment
- Reporting any maintenance, safety concerns, or incidents to management

What We’re Looking For:
- Previous cleaning experience (NDIS or disability support experience highly regarded)
- Knowledge of safe cleaning and hygiene practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy

Required Documents:
- Full Driver’s Licence, reliable car & insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
