The Japanese Superfood Natto Workshop went really well — thanks to Healthy Darwin and Tammy san for their support.
A big thank‑you also to Allan Mitchell, who kindly helped me to promote this event to achieve high attendance.

Everyone gave this unique food a try, and surprisingly every participant was able to eat natto. That’s an incredibly high success rate, considering that in Japan it’s said that around 30% of people dislike natto and won’t eat it at all. I’m genuinely amazed by how willing Darwin people are to try something new and embrace multicultural experiences.

I also had an interview with ABC Radio on the same day. The presenter, Amelia, has been searching for natto in Darwin for a long time because she’s vegetarian — and I’m so glad she finally had the chance to enjoy it.

Looking for a fun challenge? Come and try making super tiny origami cranes and turn them into earrings or necklaces! They’re very small, so it’s a bit tricky—but also very rewarding. Workshop fee: $60 per person

We also offer our regular origami earring-making workshop. These handmade pieces make wonderful Christmas gifts for anyone looking for something special and unique.
