🌿 World Breastfeeding Week
Breastfeeding is often described as „natural.“
But natural doesn’t always mean easy.
For some families, breastfeeding begins gently. For others, it takes patience, support, tears, learning and time. And for some, despite every hope and every effort, the journey unfolds differently than expected.
This World Breastfeeding Week, I’d like to celebrate something bigger than breastfeeding itself.
✨ The parents who keep showing up.
✨ The babies who teach us to slow down and listen.
✨ The quiet moments of connection that can’t be measured in minutes or millilitres.
As a midwife and IBCLC, I’ve learnt that there is no single „right“ breastfeeding journey.
There is only your journey.
My role has never been to tell families what they should do.
It is to provide evidence-based information, create a safe space for questions, support informed decisions, and walk alongside you as your confidence grows.
Whether you’re preparing during pregnancy, navigating the early weeks, feeding a toddler, returning to work, mixed feeding, expressing, overcoming challenges, or gently bringing your breastfeeding journey to a close—you deserve care that is free from judgement and full of compassion.
This week, let’s celebrate every family who is doing their best.
Because when parents feel supported, informed and heard, everyone benefits.
Happy World Breastfeeding Week. 💛
