What if the reason your inflammation keeps coming back isn’t because your body is broken… but because nobody has been listening to the system controlling the response?

So many people living with chronic inflammation have tried the supplements, the diets, the medications, and the endless appointments—yet still feel stuck in the same cycle.

The missing piece? Your nervous system.

𝓨𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓫𝓸𝓭𝔂 𝓲𝓼 𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓷𝓽𝓵𝔂 𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓶𝓾𝓷𝓲𝓬𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰.

Pain, tension, fatigue, and digestive changes are all part of a conversation. But when we only chase the symptoms, we miss what the body is actually trying to tell us.

This is where the 𝑴.𝑬.𝑵.𝑫. 𝑴𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒅™ is different.

Rather than masking symptoms, it acts as a translator—identifying what your body is prioritising, where it is feeling overwhelmed, and which systems need immediate support.

Once we understand the message, we can work with the body instead of against it.

For many clients, this looks like 𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙫𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, tailored exactly to your unique M.E.N.D. Method findings. By supporting nervous system regulation, we create the exact conditions where your body can feel safer, calmer, and more capable of change.

Because healing doesn’t begin when we force the body to change. 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙨 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚.

I invite you to book an initial M.E.N.D. Method Assessment. Let’s explore what your body has been trying to communicate—and see if targeted vagus nerve support is the breakthrough you've been looking for.

Birth is not just getting a baby out of the womb. It is also a neurological transition event. The way a baby enters the world can influence more than we once realised.

During birth, the baby experiences a series of physical, sensory, hormonal, and neurological inputs that help activate and organise the developing nervous system. These early experiences provide important stimulation for areas of the brain involved in movement, balance, coordination, sensory processing, and regulation - including the cerebellum.

The cerebellum is often thought of as a movement centre, but research continues to reveal its broader role in sensory processing, nervous system regulation, autonomic function, emotional regulation, and even aspects of digestive function.

During the birthing process whether vaginal or via c-section, some of these natural sensory and mechanical experiences may be reduced or altered. For some children experiencing digestive concerns, sensory sensitivities, coordination challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, recurrent overwhelm, or nervous-system dysregulation, it can be worthwhile to consider their birth history as one piece of a much large puzzle.

Within the M.E.N.D. MethodTM, we ask what experiences may have shaped how this nervous system learned to organise, adapt, regulate and respond.

Sometimes the answers lie far earlier in the story than we expect.

The horse world has long recognised that birth is more than simply getting from the womb into the world, that it is a nervous-system event.

It raises an interesting question: How much of our early regulation, sensory organisation, feeding patterns, and adaptation to the world begins with the birth experience itself?

For those familiar with horses, you may have heard of “dummy foal syndrome” and the use of the Madigan Squeeze Technique. While humans and horses are obviously very different, there are many similarities too. It’s fascinating to consider that both species appear to rely on important neurological transitions during the birth process itself.

Now, I’m certainly not suggesting applying the Madigan Squeeze to human babies, it is an interesting parallel or though-provoking observation. The role of birth-canal compression and mechanical forces during birth has been explored in both veterinary and human medicine for decades.

The nervous system remains adaptable throughout life, building new and refining existing pathways, but sometimes understanding the beginning of the story, helps us better understand the chapters that follow.

🌸 What if the body isn’t resisting change… but waiting for safety first?

So often we jump straight into trying to “fix” symptoms.

More energy.
Less pain.
Better sleep.
Less stress.
Improved movement.

But what if the nervous system doesn’t feel safe enough to make those changes yet?

The Meraki M.E.N.D. Method™ takes a nervous-system-first approach.

Rather than asking: “What’s wrong?”

We begin by asking: “What is the body asking us to notice?”

Using a body-led, confirmation-based process, we explore which pathways may be asking for attention first — Movement, Energy, Neurology, or Dynamics.

Because when the nervous system feels heard, supported, and safe, the body often becomes more willing to regulate, adapt, and integrate.

✨ Regulation before intervention.
✨ Listening before assumptions.
✨ Confirmation before conclusions.

The goal isn’t to force the body into change.

The goal is to create the conditions where change can happen naturally.

For humans and horses.
Where regulation comes before change.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt recently is this:

Not every nervous system experiences input the same way.

I recently worked through a series of sessions with someone whose body was extremely hypersensitive and reactive to input. Even very gentle touch and low-level stimulation created muscle twitching, guarding, and heightened responses.

At first, my instinct was:
“Just relax… it’s okay.”

But the body was communicating something very different.

It wasn’t being difficult.
It wasn’t “overreacting.”
It was protecting.

That experience completely shifted the way I approached the sessions.

Instead of trying to “fix” or “release” things, the focus became:
• reducing threat
• slowing down
• using stillness
• minimal input
• creating safety first

And something really interesting happened.

As the nervous system began feeling safer:
• symptoms softened
• guarding reduced
• the body became more specific in what it was communicating
• tolerance increased

It reminded me so much of working with sensitive horses.

You can’t force a nervous system into relaxation.
You create the conditions where it no longer feels the need to defend itself.

This is one of the core principles behind the Meraki M.E.N.D. Method.

The M.E.N.D. Method isn’t about chasing symptoms or forcing change.
It’s a nervous-system-first, confirmation-based approach that listens to how the body is responding in real time.

Sometimes the biggest breakthrough isn’t “doing more.”

Sometimes it’s learning:
• when to pause
• when to soften
• when the body has already given enough
• and how safety changes what the body is capable of

The body communicates differently when it feels safe.

And honestly… that’s where the magic happens.
