Kate the program manager has worked in both community and residential settings with all age groups, and has spent the past 10 years in lifestyle coordination. We have been

running a successful business for the past 5 years in South Australia. Offering, group activities, camping, respite, group trips and 1:1 mentoring session. During this time, we have seen many participants make new friendships and relationships. Our goal is to create the same services in Tasmania for people living with a disability on the NDIS scheme.

🌟 We’re Hiring – Support Worker Needed on the Central North West Coast 🌟

Tassie Mates is currently looking for a mature female support worker, ideally aged between 30 and 65, to support a small number of existing participants across the Central North West Coast, including Devonport, Ulverstone, Burnie, Penguin, and surrounding areas.

This role is suited to someone practical, caring, and experienced — an all-rounder who is confident supporting people both in the home and out in the community.

Current work available is 3 days per week, with the potential to increase to up to 5 days for the right person.

✨ We’re especially looking for someone with:
✔️ Sewing skills and an interest in creative activities
✔️ Experience with home care and daily living support
✔️ Confidence supporting complex behaviours
✔️ A calm, mature, and participant-focused approach
✔️ Strong English communication skills and familiarity with Australian culture and social norms, as participant rapport and clear communication are very important in this role
✔️ Driver’s licence and reliable transport 🚗
