Some experiences don’t fit neatly into words.
We had the privilege of holding space for people to explore wellbeing through cyanotype printing, found poetry, and creative reflection. Facilitated by mental health practitioners with their own artistic practices, the workshop wasn’t about creating the “perfect” piece of art, it was about creating space for expression, connection, curiosity, and collective care.
At Pola Practice, we believe wellbeing isn’t only built through conversations in therapy rooms. It can also emerge through creativity, community, and shared experiences that allow us to make meaning in ways that words sometimes can’t.
Art has long been a way that communities process grief, celebrate joy, preserve culture, resist oppression, and imagine different futures. Bringing together psychological knowledge with creative practice allows us to honour those traditions while creating accessible, inclusive spaces for wellbeing.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and trusted the process. Your willingness to create alongside one another is what made the day so special.
If you’re an arts organisation, gallery, festival, community organisation, or workplace interested in collaborating on creative wellbeing workshops, we’d love to hear from you. We’re always excited to co-design experiences that bring together mental health, creativity, and community in meaningful ways.
