The Dental Hygienists’ Association of Australia (DHAA) is one of the largest professional bodies in the Australian dental industry. Representing over 1700 oral health practitioners who practice dental hygiene in Australia, the National Association and Australian State and Territory Branches are all working in a coordinated ma

nner for the strengthening and continuing development of the profession and advocating for preventive oral health. The National Association was formed in 1991 and the Board meets to address issues relating to the uniformity of practice and training throughout Australia, and to plan for the continuing growth and application of the profession.
