Our residents were delighted to receive artworks created by the 4 and 5-year-old children from Doncaster Park Kindergarten.
The colourful artworks brought smiles to everyone’s faces. Our residents are now excited about the opportunity to become pen pals with the children, exchanging letters and artwork as part of this wonderful intergenerational program.

This week, our Grevillea Social Group enjoyed a wonderful Christmas in July celebration.

Despite the cold, rainy winter weather, everyone came together to enjoy great company, delicious food, plenty of laughter, and meaningful conversation.

The highlight of the day was a fantastic musical performance that had everyone singing along to favourite tunes and enjoying the festive atmosphere.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such an enjoyable celebration. We look forward to many more opportunities to come together throughout the year.

Christmas came early at MannaCare as residents across both Cassia House and Doncaster Melaleuca Lodge (DML) enjoyed joyful Christmas in July celebrations filled with music, laughter and festive cheer. 🎄✨

At Cassia House, entertainer Elia Cannizzo had everyone singing along to much-loved Christmas classics and dancing to the cheerful holiday tunes. Meanwhile, at DML, entertainer Paul Gillett delighted residents with a wonderful selection of festive favourites and sing-along songs.

Residents at both homes enjoyed beautifully decorated Christmas-themed cupcakes, with Cassia House residents also raising a glass of bubbly as they celebrated together. It was a wonderful opportunity to share special moments, enjoy great entertainment and embrace the magic of Christmas in the company of friends.

Our residents from both Cassia House and DML thoroughly enjoyed the Henny Penny Hatching Program. It was a delight to watch the chicks hatch from their eggs, listen to their cheerful chirping, and see them exploring their new surroundings. The experience brought smiles, laughter, and many special moments for our residents. 🐣

Our Cassia House residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon outing to Stonehouse Warrandyte, where they relaxed over delicious coffees and an assortment of beautiful sweet treats. Filled with laughter, great conversation, and wonderful company.

As part of NAIDOC Week, our DML residents enjoyed a outing to the Edendale Indigenous Nursery. Residents spent a relaxing afternoon exploring the beautiful native gardens, meeting the friendly farm animals. They also enjoyed soaking up the sunshine while sharing a delicious cupcake and a warm cup of tea or coffee together. It was a lovely opportunity to connect with nature, celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, and enjoy each other’s company in a peaceful outdoor setting.
