A new Provider Portal is on track to launch in the second half of 2026.

We’re making it easier for providers to manage important processes with the NDIS Commission, including:

• Provider registration
• Behaviour support plans
• Reportable incidents

This new portal won’t change your provider obligations, but it will simplify how you complete these activities.

📩 Join our mailing list to receive invitations to upcoming webinars and updates as new toolkit resources are added to our Provider Toolkit, including how-to-videos, quick reference guides, FAQs and more.

Mandatory registration for Supported Independent Living (SIL) and digital platform providers has commenced today, 1 July 2026.

This means that every NDIS-funded SIL and platform provider must apply to register with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

New SIL Practice Standards have also come into effect for SIL providers.

Together, these reforms strengthen safeguards, improve quality and consistency, and support participant-centred, rights-based outcomes across the NDIS.

Find out more about these reforms via the link (Reform Hub) in the comments.

📘New guidance for specialist behaviour support providers

The NDIS Commission has released a practice guide on behaviour support assessment, including functional behaviour assessments (FBA).

The guide helps specialist behaviour support providers and NDIS practitioners to:
- Understand expectations under the NDIS Act and Rules
- Align assessment practice with quality standards
- Strengthen assessments to support better participant outcomes

High-quality assessments are the foundation of effective behaviour support strategies and help support the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices.
