Freya tried an embodied movement class online and she says it helped with her energy, made her feel freer, stronger, and more alive again. So she kept going, kept practising, kept studying it, until eventually she became a facilitator herself.
Becoming a facilitator was a turning point in Freya's purpose. That's when it became about giving something back, serving others, and expressing herself creatively. Alongside that, her purpose to rest and recover never disappeared. The two went hand in hand.
What we love about this part of Freya's story is that it happened by trying something new and paying attention to how it made her feel. Purpose doesn't have to be one thing. You can be building something new while still honouring your own needs, and there's real alignment in that.
At Ability West we have been working behind the scenes to develop a program for people with a disability that helps them discover their purpose. If you are interested, please send us a message.
