HEIDI NICHOLS
Director & Dermal Clinician

For Heidi, a career in skin began with her own experience.

Born and raised in Dubbo and attending St John’s College, Heidi experienced severe acne, rosacea and psoriasis throughout her high school years. At the time, she found it incredibly difficult to access clear education and guidance around the prevention, treatment and ongoing management of skin conditions, an experience that would ultimately shape the direction of her career.

After completing her HSC, Heidi moved to Sydney and began her studies with a Diploma of Beauty Therapy, followed by further education in IPL & Laser Safety, advanced dermal and skin treatment modalities, and ultimately an Degree in Applied Health Science (Dermal Science).

Her career has extended well beyond the treatment room. Heidi gained extensive experience in business development, professional education and industry training, working with companies including Nimue Skin Technology, CPL Group and Australian Skin Active Products ASAP, before progressing to the role of National Education Manager for Karpati Corporation.

After returning home to Dubbo to start a family, Heidi co-founded The Skin Corrective Centre in 2009, with a vision to provide regional clients with access to professional skin education, evidence-informed treatment programs and advanced dermal technologies.

Today, that passion is stronger than ever.

Heidi has a particular interest in IPL and laser technologies, plasma treatments and advanced dermal therapies, and is continually researching and introducing technologies and treatment protocols that prioritise clinical outcomes, safety and efficacy.

Having personally experienced the impact that problematic skin can have on confidence and wellbeing, Heidi remains incredibly passionate about helping patients better understand their skin, not simply treating what is visible, but providing the multi-disciplinary guidance, education and long-term management strategies she wished had been available to her all those years ago.

BRIANNA SHUTTLE

As part of our Front of House team, Brianna is often one of the friendly faces welcoming you to The Skin Corrective Centre.

Brianna is currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary), driven by her passion for teaching, working with children and supporting others.

Her background is also firmly rooted in dance and education. Brianna holds a Certificate II in Dance, Certificate III in Assistant Dance Teaching, and Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management, providing her with valuable experience in communication, organisation and working closely with people of all ages. Outside of TSCC, Brianna teaches dance at Nova Performing Arts, where she continues to share her passion for dance and education.

Alongside her studies, Brianna has always had a strong interest in skin health and skincare, particularly the importance of maintaining healthy skin through consistent, evidence-informed care. Working within our team of Dermal Clinicians and Dermal Therapists allows her to continue developing her knowledge of professional skincare, advanced skin treatments and the dermal industry.

Away from the clinic and her studies, Brianna has a love of fashion and enjoys getting dressed up for the races, with a particular interest in Fashions on the Field.

Brianna brings warmth, professionalism and a genuine enthusiasm for helping people to our Front of House team, and we’re very fortunate to have her as part of TSCC. 🤍

✨RUBY ZELL✨

Front of House | Reception | Studying Bachelor of Health Science

Ruby is part of our Front of House team at The Skin Corrective Centre, providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for our clients while supporting the day-to-day operations of our clinic.

Ruby is currently studying a Bachelor of Applied Health Science, driven by her strong interest in healthcare, beauty and, in particular, the science behind skin health and evidence-based treatments.

Her passion for this field comes from wanting to better understand the science behind the skin and body, while ultimately pursuing a career that allows her to help others feel comfortable and confident in themselves.

Working within The Skin Corrective Centre gives Ruby valuable exposure to a professional clinical environment and the many different aspects of dermal therapies, skin health and cosmetic medicine, complementing her university studies and growing interest in the health sciences.

Outside the clinic, Ruby enjoys playing touch football, going to the gym with her mum and spending time with family and friends. She has also recently discovered a love of travelling and hopes to see much more of the world in the future.

We love having Ruby as part of the TSCC team and look forward to watching her knowledge and experience continue to grow.

Dermal Therapist

Gabby is a talented and dedicated Senior Skin Therapist at The Skin Corrective Centre, known for her caring approach and passion for helping clients achieve healthy, radiant skin. With a strong foundation in clinical skin treatments, Gabby delivers results-focused therapies tailored to each individual’s unique skin needs and goals.

Her interests span a wide range of skin conditions and treatment modalities, and she is particularly passionate about restoring skin confidence through personalised, holistic care. Whether she’s performing skin needling, chemical peels or targeted rejuvenation treatments, Gabby approaches every client with precision, knowledge and genuine care.

Outside of the clinic, Gabby is Assistant Principal of NOVA Performing Arts and Director of the NOVA Youth Theatre Program. She is also an accomplished performer, bringing creativity, energy and passion into everything she does. Her background in performance gives her a unique appreciation for confidence and self-expression values she brings into her work with clients every day.

Gabby loves building strong relationships with those she treats and takes pride in supporting each person throughout their individual skin journey. Her gentle nature, clinical skills and artistic flair make her a valued member of The Skin Corrective Centre team.
