Do you travel long distances for treatment?

The Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAAS) can provide financial assistance when you travel for treatment that is not available locally.

From Friday 12 June, the IPTAAS system is getting an upgrade, and we are incorporating the NSW Digital ID or Multi Factor Authentication to make the process simpler, and more secure.

The IPTAAS system will undergo planned maintenance on 11 June 2026 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. During this time you will not be able to submit online applications.

The Mobile CT truck will be located at our hospital sites for inpatient and outpatient imaging on these dates:

• Bourke – 10 to 12 June
• Walgett – 17 to 19 June
• Cobar – 23 to 25 June
• Bourke – 30 June to 2 July.

Appointments are essential by calling 1800 492 223. Valid request forms from GPs and specialists are accepted.

After an incredible 45 years as an Enrolled Nurse working across Nursing and Ambulatory Care at Dubbo Health Service, Fran is hanging up her scrubs and starting a well-earned retirement.

A massive shout out and congratulations to Fran, and an even bigger thank you for the wisdom, and knowledge she has shared with so many staff over the years. Her dedication, care and support have made a lasting impact on colleagues, patients and the wider community.

🎉 Happy 21st John! 🎉

Our team at Canowindra Community Health Centre recently celebrated a very special milestone for CSU second-year nursing student John Gragasin, who turned 21 while completing a month-long placement with the team.

Child & Family Health Nurse Celeste baked and decorated a delicious chocolate cake for the occasion, with staff coming together to sing Happy Birthday and celebrate.

John has brought enthusiasm, kindness and a great attitude to the team over the past month, and it has been wonderful having him at Canowindra Community Health Centre.

We wish John all the very best with the rest of his studies and his future nursing career. 👏🎂
