We Won’t Back Down!

At DANS In Home Care, we stand firmly against elder abuse.

Every older person deserves to feel safe, respected, valued, and heard. Abuse of any kindβ€”whether physical, emotional, financial, social, or neglectβ€”is never acceptable.

As care professionals, advocates, family members, and community members, we all have a role to play in protecting the rights and dignity of older Australians.

We will continue to raise awareness, support those affected, and speak up for those who may not have a voice.

Together, we can create a community where older people are treated with the respect they deserve.

Day 2 of Aged Care Week ConferenceπŸ‘

Yesterday was a great day, all about leadership - hearing from inspirational voices across the sector unpack the real challenges, and more importantly, the strategies to support older people in the wake of the November 2025 changes.

What’s becoming clear is that businesses are starting to truly understand the impact of these reforms - both for the participants we serve and for the way we run our organisations.

Stepping out of the day-to-day has given us space to think bigger: how do we better support our team, and how do we keep our participants at the heart of every decision we make?

Grateful for these few days of learning, connection and fresh perspective. Bringing it all back to make a difference. πŸ’™
