A thought that’s been following me around lately:

What if the conversation ended… but the grading didn’t?

How much of our lives are spent trying to earn a mark that nobody else is giving?

I think that’s worth wondering about.

I’ve noticed that some of us don’t wait to find out if we’ve done something wrong.

We start building a defence the moment there’s uncertainty.

A delayed reply.
A different tone.
A conversation we replay for the tenth time.

It’s exhausting living as though every unknown is a verdict waiting to happen.

I’m curious whether this one landed for anyone else.

One of the hardest things I’ve had to learn is this:

I can be honest.
I can be accountable.
I can repair where I’ve caused harm.

But I cannot make everyone understand me the way I wish they would.

There’s a strange kind of freedom in realising those are different things.
