By participating in MyMedicare, our centre reinforces its commitment to working collaboratively to support our patients’ health - both now and in the future.

MyMedicare is a voluntary registration program that formalises the link between you, your GP and regular medical centre. By registering to MyMedicare, you take greater control of your health, allowing you to navigate your care with the support of your chosen primary care team, who can deliver personalised chronic care tailor to your long-term health.

Register by completing a form at our Centre or through your Medicare Online Account or the Express Plus Medicare Mobile app. More information at https://www.health.gov.au/our-work/mymedicare/patients or call us and our friendly staff will be able to assist.

Are your kids up to date with their whooping cough vaccinations?

Whooping cough (also called pertussis) is a highly contagious disease that can be life threatening for babies and young children. It is easily spread through droplets from coughing or sneezing.

Whooping cough vaccinations are strongly recommended for adults as a booster every 5–10 years and are free for:

✅ Babies and children (at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 18 months and 4 years)
✅ Adolescents (in year 7 at school)

If your baby or child is experiencing early symptoms (runny/stuffy nose, sneezing, mild cough, fever), see your GP about treatments such as antibiotics as soon as possible to help prevent the spread of whooping cough to others.

The best way to stay safe is to make sure you’re up to date with your diphtheria vaccinations.

Children can access free vaccines from their usual immunisation provider.

Adults are recommended to get a booster if their last dose was more than five years ago.
