The Goompi NAIDOC Planning Committee is excited to officially launch the two main event flyers for Goompi NAIDOC 2026!
This year's theme, "50 Years of Deadly", celebrates five decades of NAIDOC achievements, stories, culture and community pride. We invite everyone to come along and be part of these special community events.
1. 🧓 COMMUNITY ELDERS NAIDOC LUNCH

Hosted by the North Stradbroke Island Aboriginal and Islanders Housing Co-Op, this special gathering honours and celebrates our community Elders.
⚠️ RSVP's are essential. The first '100 Elders' to RSVP will secure a place. RSVP by Friday 26th of June.

2. 🎬 GOOMPI NAIDOC COMMUNITY FILM CELEBRATION & DINNER

Join us for an evening of:
✨ Community film premiere celebrating 50 Years of Deadly NAIDOC on Minjerribah
✨ Cultural performances
✨ Elders and youth storytelling
✨ Dinner and cultural foods
✨ Community connection and celebration
This special event will showcase our community-produced film featuring historical photographs, video footage, stories and memories from 50 years of NAIDOC celebrations on Minjerribah.
❤️ Everyone is welcome.
We look forward to celebrating with community as we honour the past, celebrate the present and inspire the next generation.
