National Pyjama Day helps raise awareness and funds for The Pyjama Foundation, which supports children in foster care through literacy and mentoring programs.

A group of residents had a wonderful outing over the weekend to see the Titans v Sea Eagles game on the Gold Coast. They were accompanied by our staff and Community Connections team members from the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service Brisbane and even got the chance to take some photos with former NRL star Preston Campbell OAM! 🏉🏉🏉

📣 We have received the highest rating under Australia’s residential aged care Star Ratings system in recognition of the quality and safety of care provided ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our Operations Manager Belinda is absolutely thrilled to achieve the 5-Star Rating. “I am so proud of the entire team and so thankful for the dedication, hard work and compassion. We have achieved what I once thought could not be done, proving that the impossible is possible,” she said.

“The team choose Jimbelunga as a workplace, but every day they make it a home for our residents. We are committed to setting the standard in providing exceptional care and this has, without a doubt, inspired me even more.”

This National Sorry Day, we remember the Stolen Generations, when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children were forcibly removed from their families.

We honour the strength of those who lived through it.

We recognise that history isn't just the past, the impacts continue to be felt across our families and communities today.

Here at Jimbelunga, culturally safe care is embedded in everything we do.
