We’re bringing along two blank coffins — and inviting you to help transform them.

No artistic talent required. No right or wrong way to do it. Just come along, have a go and Leave Your Mark.

This is what a Beautiful Brunch looks like.

Today, our family lounge is set for something a little different.

Beautiful china. Fresh coffee and tea. Fruit, pastries, little savouries and some very good-looking tiny tarts. And, most importantly, a private space for a family to simply be together.

A Beautiful Brunch is for families who don’t want a formal funeral service, but still want a meaningful way to mark the death of someone they love.

There doesn’t have to be a lectern, rows of chairs or a set order of service.

Instead, you can sit together. Eat. Talk. Tell stories. Play some music. Laugh about the things they did. Remember them properly.

It’s small, relaxed and completely private — with no expectation about what a farewell is supposed to look like.

Sometimes a table, a pot of tea and the people who mattered most are exactly enough.

It’s probably not something you’ve ever thought to ask.

Some familiar funeral brands are locally owned. Others are part of much larger corporate groups. And while being independent doesn’t automatically make a funeral director better — or cheaper — it can mean local decision-making, more flexibility and dealing directly with the people responsible for looking after your family.
