Taking part in a local park run is a great way to get in part of the 150 mins of exercise a week. Park run is a 5 km run, walk or shuffle in a lovely environment with wonderful people who will soon become community and friends.

Exercise is vital for our bodies to remain healthy. Just 150 minutes of moderate exercise a week will help protect us from most common diseases including cancer.
Moderate exercise? What is this I hear you ask!!
It is when you can still talk but not sing 🎵!
Walking around your neighbourhood for 30 mins, 5 days a week becomes 150 mins very quickly.
Give it a go!

As a STEEL physiotherapist I treat men with cancer from diagnosis and on through their journey of life. I also hope to be there for their family and friends. Cancer affects everyone in different ways and I hope that we can all work together to make it easier for everyone.
Exercise is such an important part of life and the cancer journey.

About Me:
Hi I am Wendy Dibble, a Physiotherapist with over 30 years experience. I believe in the treatment of the whole person and as such will draw on my years of experience and knowledge to treat my patients holistically and with maximum benefit to their health and well being. I am now treating people in the East Maitland area, with immediate appointments available.

I qualified with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Zimbabwe in 1994. I worked at a large Central Hospital in Harare for 18 months doing my junior rotations, which included orthopaedics, surgery, maternity, paediatrics, neurology, in both in and out patients.

I was asked to work with the Cardio thoracic team during this time and worked closely with patients, both adult and paediatric, both pre and post heart surgery.

In 1996, when my husband was moved to a rural area to be the local doctor, I opened up my own practice, where I treated sports injuries, post surgical patients, including joint replacements, and some neurological conditions, such as Parkinson’s Disease.

In 2000 my family immigrated to the Manchester area of the UK. I began work at Hyde Physiotherapy Centre, a charity that contracted out to the NHS. The Centre mainly treated musculoskeletal patients and was very busy. I became the manger of this centre in 2006 and worked hard to get funding and progress the clinic.

During this time, I was fortunate to attend a large number of post graduate courses including The Society of Orthopaedic Medicine, McKenzie Spinal and qualified as an acupuncturist.

In 2013 my family, again immigrated this time to Orange NSW, Australia. I initially worked on a volunteer basis of 1 day a week at the Orange Base Hospital in both cardio thoracic and neurological physiotherapy, and as a full time employee of On The Move Physiotherapy.

During my time at On The Move I was fortunate to qualify as a Steel Physiotherapist which equips me to treat men with cancer, from diagnosis, through treatment and into recovery.

In 2021 I opened my own practice in Orange, and have been there until now, treating the local community and the wider central west.

I hope that in my new practice, here in East Maitland, I can help the local community holistically, with care and knowledge as a physiotherapist.
