Melbourne Cardiothoracic Surgeons will be moving.
After 8 years in East Melbourne and with a change in my public appointment, the rooms will soon move to the Private Consulting Suites at the Melbourne Private Hospital. This exciting change will allow more scope to see patients.

So COVID is still popping up, and will do so for at least the next 6 months.
At MCTS we
Give you the opportunity to have either Telehealth consultations or face to face. In some cases, your surgeon will request to see you, but otherwise you can utilise this feature. Great for out of town patients!

We are starting to see fewer numbers in Melbourne and surrounds. As a result there should be a lifting of restrictions and we will be starting to physically bring people into the rooms over the next few weeks.
We will keep you updated if you have upcoming appointments. There will be a need to maintain appointment times and social distancing, etc.

Get out in this lovely autumn weather people!

Today’s target is 105 push-ups: It’s possible that getting 15 minutes of bright sunlight each morning could reduce levels of mental distress. 15 minutes, 7 days...that’s 105 minutes of sunshine per week! There are a lot of factors that could be at work here to make sunlight a mood booster, including effects on your circadian rhythm, Vitamin D, or just being outside - getting into nature for a few hours per week can also help out your mental health. Whatever the reason - just be sensible! Sunburn doesn’t improve anything.
