Blisters can develop when repeated friction causes irritation between the skin and footwear or socks. Moisture and pressure can also contribute. Comfortable footwear, suitable socks and keeping feet as dry as practical may help reduce friction.

If a blister keeps returning or you're concerned, a podiatrist can assess it. πŸ“…πŸ“ž

Ever wondered what a children's foot assessment actually involves? 🦢🏼

It's a relaxed, low-pressure look at how your child walks and stands, plus a chat about footwear and any concerns you've noticed.

No needles, no drama, just a clear picture of how their feet are developing, and practical next steps if needed.

Your shoes could be doing more harm than you think. πŸ‘Ÿ

The right pair of shoes isn't just about style, it can genuinely make a difference to your feet.

Supportive footwear helps distribute pressure evenly, keeps your foot properly aligned, and can reduce strain through your feet, ankles, and lower legs.

Wrong fit or worn-out soles, on the other hand, can force your feet to work harder than they should, which may lead to discomfort over time.

A few things to look for in a good everyday shoe:
βœ”οΈ Firm heel support
βœ”οΈ Adequate arch support
βœ”οΈ Enough room for your toes to move freely
βœ”οΈ Soles that flex where your foot naturally bends

Not sure if your go-to shoes are actually doing your feet any favours? Save this post, and feel free to ask us at your next visit.
