Hi, I'm Cass 👋
I'm the face behind Three Cords Therapy, a therapeutic counsellor, couples therapist, wife, mum of three boys, and someone who genuinely believes that relationships can heal and grow, even through life's toughest seasons.
My journey into counselling began through my own lived experience. During a difficult time in my marriage, I found there was very little support available locally. What started as a desire to better understand relationships and support my own healing quickly grew into a passion for helping others. I completed a Diploma and then a Bachelor of Counselling and have since undertaken specialised training in couples therapy, including Level 3 Relational Life Therapy (RLT) and Level 2 Gottman Method Training.
Before becoming a counsellor, I’ve had a variety of roles that all centred around people and connection. I worked in Police Radio, started a local charity called Tamworth Mums, and managed the Pavillion, coordinating and supporting couples on their wedding days. My first career was as a travel agent, and travel still remains one of my greatest passions. I love exploring new places, seeking out adventures, and experiencing different cultures—it’s a big part of who I am.
I've been with my husband for 20 years, and together we have three incredible sons. They are undoubtedly my greatest achievement and, at times, the most challenging role I've ever had.
Life has brought its share of challenges, heartache, growth, and learning. I believe those experiences have shaped not only who I am but also how I show up for my clients. I aim to create a space that is warm, genuine, and free from judgement. I'm not interested in sitting at a distance from the people I work with. I believe that to help people build stronger, healthier relationships, I need to be relational with them too.
Whether you're navigating relationship struggles, feeling overwhelmed, or simply needing support, you’re not just another person or couple in my space. Every story matters deeply here. It’s a privilege to walk alongside you, and I hold that responsibility with great care, respect, and gratitude.
I'm so glad you're here. 🤍
P.s This is my dog Brutus, he's a cavoodle and the sweetest little guy. One day soon, you might just see him in the office from time to time 🐻
