๐This Wear It Purple Day, NSLHD staff came together in a visible show of support for diversity, inclusion and the wellbeing of LGBTIQ+ young people. Guided by this yearโs theme, Colours of Courage, we celebrated the everyday courage it takes to live authentically, support one another and help create communities where everyone can thrive.
Across our district, teams proudly wore purple, contributed to collaborative artworks and joined a special webinar exploring the experiences of LGBTIQ+ young people accessing healthcare. These moments of connection and reflection reinforce our commitment to fostering a health service where every person feels safe, respected and valued.
At NSLHD, we want all young people, staff, patients and communities to know: you are welcome here, you belong here, and your identity is respected and celebrated.
We also want to hear from our LGBTIQ+ communities. If you identify as LGBTIQ+, we invite you to share your experiences with NSLHD by completing our LGBTIQ+ Consumer Experience Survey ๐ https://bit.ly/4qHYCTL
