⚡🌼 **!!HELP US GET LORELLE INTO THE LOVELY FREEZING BUSSELTON WATER!!** 🥶🌊😂

WE are incredibly proud of our Eaton Community Pharmacy team member Lorelle, who is taking on a VERY chilly challenge this Daffodil Day — dipping into the freezing winter waters from the Busselton Jetty!

Why? Because apparently donating money wasn’t enough of a challenge… so Lorelle decided she needed to freeze herself for a good cause!** 😂🥶

Lorelle is raising vital funds for Daffodil Day, supporting cancer research and helping people affected by cancer. 🌼💛

🌧️ With the rain not letting up today, we thought we would take a trip down memory lane.

Before the service station and pharmacy stood on the corner of Pratt Road and Old Coast Road, this was the home of the much-loved Slater's Corner Store, operated by Percy and Lylia Slater from 1964 to 1989. Many long-time locals will fondly know it simply as "Slater's".

These photos, kindly shared by Trevor Slater, show the old store after the devastating 1964 floods.

❤️ Do you remember Slater's Corner? We'd love to hear your memories of this iconic Eaton landmark.

💊 Here's a fun fact also... one of our current pharmacy assistants used to make sandwiches in the old Slater's Corner Store - and she's still working on the very same corner today! Talk about loyalty... she hasn't moved much! 😄

🦠 Heading away soon up North to escape the Bunbury winter?

Recent health reports have highlighted Australia’s current diphtheria outbreak, along with rising measles cases. Health experts are encouraging Australians to check whether their vaccinations are up to date, particularly before travelling to higher-risk areas.

Some regions in Australia, including parts of WA, are currently considered higher risk for diphtheria, and booster vaccinations may be recommended for some travellers.

You can check your immunisation history through myGov or the Australian Immunisation Register, and speak with your friendly pharmacist if you’re unsure about your vaccination status.

At Eaton Community Pharmacy, our super friendly pharmacists can provide advice on travel health and available vaccination services.
