Most people already know what they want.
They know the decision they want to make.
The boundary they want to hold.
The direction they want their life to take.
The things they no longer want to tolerate.
The difficult part often isn’t knowing.
It’s following through when someone else doesn’t like your choice.
Because choosing differently can disappoint people.
Changing can make relationships uncomfortable.
Building a life that actually fits you can mean no longer doing what keeps everyone else happy.
And that doesn’t automatically make you selfish.
There comes a point where growth asks you to stop organising your life around other people’s reactions to it.
You can care about people deeply without handing them the decision-making rights to your life.
The question isn’t always “What should I do?”
Sometimes it’s:
“I already know what I want. Am I willing to follow through even if someone else doesn’t like it?”
Save this for the next time you find yourself second-guessing something you already know.
And if you know someone who keeps putting their own decisions on hold because of how everyone else might react, send this to them.
