Did you know that regional Australians are 17% more likely to suffer a stroke than those in metropolitan areas?
This National Stroke Week we want you to know that you don’t need a cape to be a hero 🦹♀️– you just need to know how to recognise the signs of stroke. Knowing the F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech and Time) signs means you can act quickly when every second counts.
The F.A.S.T. test is simple:
🙍♀️FACE: Check their face. Has their mouth drooped?
💪 ARMS: Can they lift both arms?
👄SPEECH: Is their speech slurred? Do they understand you?
⏱️ TIME IS CRITICAL: If you see any of these signs call 000 (triple zero) immediately.
