A fantastic day out at the National Motor Museum in Birdwood 🚗✨

At Mix It Up, we love supporting participants to explore social and community activities that reflect their individual interests and choices. This visit was a great opportunity to enjoy the local community, connect socially, and experience something genuinely meaningful and enjoyable.

Having choice in social activities helps build confidence, independence and connection — and we love seeing participants getting out, trying new experiences, and doing what they enjoy most.

Sometimes all it takes is a little encouragement 💈✨

One of our participants recently headed to the barber for a fresh haircut. While he was a little unsure about attending at first, he walked away feeling confident, refreshed and very happy with the result — that smile says it all! 😄

Encouraging people to try new things and grow their confidence.

Supporting participants to build confidence in everyday community activities is such an important part of what we do. Whether it’s trying something new, building independence, or simply enjoying some self-care and social connection, these moments can make a huge difference.

We love celebrating the wins — big and small 💙

National Reconciliation Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about our shared achievements, cultures and histories.

The theme for this year is ‘All In’, and it’s a chance for everyone to get involved.

Together we can each commit to reconciliation through a few simple tasks, these include:

⚫ discovering the Traditional Owners of the land where you live

🟡 learning about Indigenous histories and cultures

🔴 challenging stereotypes and calling out racism when it occurs.
