The tragedy in Nepal has been weighing heavily on my heart and mind. I have spent time there, experienced the warmth and hospitality of these beautiful people, and Nepal holds a very special place in my heart.

I’ve been wondering whether anyone might feel drawn to come together in a small circle, to share our intention and see what might be possible when we gather in a space of love, peace, compassion and healing.

There is fascinating research suggesting that collective focus and intention may have effects that reach far beyond what we understand. Those familiar with Reiki will also know the principle of distance healing — that healing intention need not be limited by physical distance.

This isn't simply about sitting together in silence. The coming together is the doing. Together, we will hold and send love and healing to everyone — those suffering or grieving, those frightened, those trapped and hoping for rescue, those helping, those who have lost loved ones, and those caught up in circumstances we may never fully understand.

We may never know how far that intention reaches or what difference it makes. But perhaps that is no reason not to send it. 🤍

My life so far has never really revolved around gardening… somehow, that seems to be changing. 🌿

I’m rather proud of my first efforts — and discovering just how satisfying it is to grow things and watch a garden come to life.

I know you've seen this ... I think what is important to remember is that even though you don't feel like this, don't believe this and life may bring you to your knees ... you are still that resilient, courageous person inside.

Even though your light is dimmed by people, events, circumstances and situations, you are still that resilient, courageous person inside. Even though there is collateral damage, you will regroup and recover, and rise from the ashes of the fire like a Phoenix, stronger and wiser.

And you will find your light again. And you will shine even brighter than before.

They say that where there is light, no darkness can enter. Whatever is going on for you, stay in the light.

I can hear you thinking "How do I find the light, what do you mean? That's such a cliche." And you are right. But there is a deeper philosophy and meaning.

Because no matter what is going on, no matter who is right or wrong, any negative feelings that you have belong to you and affect you. Only you. And these negative feelings in turn affect every cell of your body, altering your body chemistry, draining you and eventually manifesting on a physical level.

You know how it feels to be carrying these feelings. So while it's natural to feel ........
