Vaginal dilators are devices designed to gently stretch the vaginal tissues and reduce sensitivity over time. They aid relaxation of the pelvic floor, reduce discomfort, and slowly build comfort with pe*******on. Dilator therapy is often recommended for people with conditions such as vaginismus, vulvodynia and an overactive pelvic floor. Dilators are most effective when used alongside relaxation techniques, controlled breathing, and tailored exercises guided by a physiotherapist.

Your body is doing an incredible amount of work during pregnancy, and sometimes that can show up as aches and discomfort through the back and pelvis.

As your baby grows, changes in posture, muscle function, and joint mobility can place extra demands on your body, making everyday activities feel more challenging than usual.

The good news is that there are ways to stay comfortable. Targeted exercises, movement strategies, and physiotherapy support can help reduce discomfort, improve confidence with movement, and keep you doing the things you enjoy.

Do you experience discomfort in your pelvis, lower back, hips, or buttocks when you move or change position? These symptoms may be associated with pelvic girdle pain, a common condition that can affect mobility, daily activities, and overall comfort. It can present differently from person to person, which is why it is often missed or misunderstood. If you think you could have PGP, call us on 9431 2530 or book online via our website.💙

Say hello to winter! ❄

As the colder months set in and routines naturally shift, it can be a good time to stay consistent with your pelvic floor exercises.

With more time indoors and changes to daily activity, it can be easy to lose a bit of routine. Continuing your prescribed exercises can help support ongoing pelvic floor function.

Small, regular practice can help you maintain progress throughout the season. 💙

Mastitis is a condition which is common in breastfeeding women. It is usually caused by blocked ducts or inflammation in the breast tissue. Symptoms which may be present include swelling, redness and breast pain.

We recommend that if you are experiencing symptoms of Mastitis to come in ASAP. We prioritise Mastitis appointments at our clinic and take them very seriously, often seeing patients on the same day or within 24 hours.

At our clinic, a way we treat mastitis is through a therapeutic ultrasound which is a non invasive treatment which can assist with blocked ducts. It involves the utilisation of high frequency sound waves to create a gentle micro massage and deep heating effect on the area. It helps to promote circulation, reduce inflammation and relieve associated pain.

Call the clinic on 9431 2530 if you are presenting any of the symptoms of Mastitis so we can book you in ASAP. 👶🏼

Do you enjoy your morning coffee or tea but notice you are making more trips to the bathroom than usual? You are not alone. Caffeine can irritate the bladder and may increase urinary urgency and frequency in some people. This can sometimes lead to a stronger or more frequent need to urinate, particularly after caffeinated drinks.

If this sounds familiar, it may help to pay attention to how your body responds to caffeine. Small adjustments, such as reducing your intake, spacing out caffeinated drinks, or switching to decaf options, can make a noticeable difference for some people.
