Super shoes have revolutionized racing, but they require adaptation. Runners should test them in training, understand their biomechanical effects, and be aware of their shorter lifespan to maximize their benefits.
I recently chose the Adidas Adios Pro 4 for my first marathon and it felt great for my biomechanics. I had previously purchased a pair of Nike Alphafly 3 (worn in both the men’s and women’s marathon WR) but these just didn’t work for me; they felt mechanical and a bit clunky, but they were very fast!!
Which super shoe is in your rotation?
