As Endometriosis Awareness Month draws to a close, I want to leave you with this:
To every woman in the Central Highlands and beyond who has spent years wondering why her pain wasn't taken seriously: I see you.
To every woman who has Googled symptoms at 2am, sat in an emergency department and been sent home with painkillers, or cried in frustration at another dismissed appointment: your experience is real, and it matters.
This month we've covered a lot of ground:
πΈ The statistics β 1 in 6 Queensland women affected
πΈ The symptoms that deserve to be taken seriously
πΈ The 7β10 year diagnostic delay β and why it happens
πΈ The fertility picture β nuanced and hopeful
πΈ How Traditional Chinese Medicine fits into integrative care
πΈ The emotional weight of living with a chronic condition
πΈ Cycle tracking and understanding your body
πΈ The myths that keep women from getting help
Awareness is just the beginning. But it's where everything starts.
If this month has prompted you to seek support, to book an appointment, or simply to feel less alone β that's everything.
My door is open. Always.
