Dementia Action Week is an opportunity to talk openly about dementia, support families and encourage conversations about the future.

For families living with dementia, planning ahead can help make difficult decisions a little easier when the time comes.

Talking about someone's wishes, what matters to them and how they would like to be remembered can be a meaningful act of care.

It doesn't have to be one big conversation.

Sometimes, it starts with a simple question:

“What would you want us to know?"

Sometimes, asking “Are you OK?” means more than we realise. 💛

When someone is grieving, there isn't always an easy way to know what they're feeling.
They might want to talk.
They might not.
They might be having a difficult day, even months or years after their loss.
A simple message, a phone call or sitting beside someone can let them know they don't have to carry everything alone.

Today, and every day, check in with the people around you.
And remember, you don't always need the right words. Sometimes, simply being there is enough.

Father's Day can mean many different things. 💛

For some, it's a day of celebration, family gatherings, and making memories.
