Congrats to our World Cup Champion Katie for her well deserved 1-0 win with Spain in our staff sweep! 🪇💃🪭

She had her Spanish team organised just as well as our Front Desk; conceding only 1 goal in the entire World Cup was an incredible achievement & proves again that a champion team is better than a team of champions. They couldn't have managed this without Katie and it was great to see her enjoy her moment on stage with the team, maybe even pushing the US President out of the way. 🇪🇦

Unfortunately Nat's Argentina was too reliant on 1 great player to win the game for them again; and the less said about their carry on after the game the better. Nat wasn't a part of this- she is way to good for that- and they may have lost her support forever. 🇦🇷

It's winner takes all here, so no prizes for Nat or Richard's England -although they played very well against France with defence being optional for both teams & nothing much to play for, showing how good they can be when the pressure is off, a bit like their cricketers- sometimes. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇨🇵

Thanks to our physio Rory & physio students Axel, Kiralee and Katerina, who do a great job providing Men's Premier League match day coverage, including 2 'Aspire derbies' last weekend with Terrigal United Football Club vs Berkeley Vale Soccer Club and Ourimbah United Football Club vs Killarney District Soccer Club .

This weekend our Aspire crew covered 13 match day venues- just like any other weekend in 2026. Helping keep our patients, players and communities on the pitch.

It was over 30 years ago at uni when a well worn copy of the 1993 1st edition of Brukner & Khan's 'Clinical Sports Medicine' was the most treasured book in the library of our share house.
Scroll forward a few decades, and it's a proud day to receive an author's copy in return for writing a section in the just published 6th edition. Like it has been ever since the 1st edition, this text book is the first place we go to look up anything that relates to sports medicine, just as it is for tens of thousands of practices, students and doctors all over the world.

As it was for the 4th and 5th editions a few years ago, it is a privilege to be asked to contribute as one of 90 authors, so called experts from across the globe. Thanks for having me share my advice on trunk side strain injury in sport. Before I started my research there wasn't really much to look up anywhere, so I hope this helps practitioners wherever they may be. Our team here will certainly benefit every day from the wisdom of the other 89 authors!

Terrigal United Football Club was the first of our club partnerships and remains cherished.
