Reflux can look like a feeding problem.

But sometimes there is more going on beneath what we can see.

A baby who is uncomfortable after feeds may:
• Arch or stiffen their body
• Pull away or become unsettled during feeds
• Cry when laid flat
• Prefer being held upright
• Struggle to settle after feeding
• Seem uncomfortable even when they have been fed and changed

These behaviours are communication.

Sometimes a baby's body is carrying tension, or their nervous system is finding it difficult to settle and organise after feeding.

With Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, I work gently with your baby, following their pace and listening to what their body is showing me.

It isn't about forcing change.

It's about creating the conditions for their little system to soften, settle and find greater ease.

Because beneath the symptoms and the behaviour...

There is always a story. 💚

Sometimes we spend so much time wondering if we're doing enough for everyone else that we forget to ask how we're doing ourselves.

Looking after yourself isn't selfish.

When you feel more settled, rested and supported, that calm often flows into the people you love most.

So today, make time for a cuppa, take a deep breath and be kind to yourself.

You deserve the same compassion you so freely give to

Some feeding journeys begin easily.

Others take more time.

This week is a reminder that every family's story deserves compassion, not comparison.

Some babies feed with ease.

Some mothers experience pain, worry, exhaustion or unexpected challenges.

Some families breastfeed.

Some express.

Some combination feed.

Some bottle feed with love.

Every feeding journey is unique.

As a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, I often meet families who arrive feeling like they've tried everything.

Sometimes feeding is simply the symptom.

Sometimes, beneath the struggle, there is a little body holding tension or a nervous system waiting to be gently supported and resourced.

There is no judgement here.

Only gentle listening.

Only curiosity.

Only compassion for both Mum and baby.

This World Breastfeeding Week, I honour every parent who shows up with love, patience and hope, one feed at a time.

Because every feeding story matters.

One of the things I hear most often in the treatment room is, "We avoid going anywhere because the car seat is so stressful."

Over the years I've met many babies who found travel difficult, not because they disliked the car, but because their bodies didn't yet feel comfortable during movement.

As we gently supported their body and nervous system, many families noticed calmer journeys and more settled babies.

Every baby is different, but I've learnt that behaviour is often communication.

When we listen with curiosity and compassion, small changes often begin to appear.

Every baby's story deserves to be heard.

Your baby's story begins long before birth.

Pregnancy shapes more than a growing baby. It is also a time when your own body, nervous system and experiences matter.

When a mum feels more supported, calmer and more connected, that support often ripples through to her baby too.

You don't have to wait until your baby arrives to begin listening to your body.

Sometimes the journey starts with caring for you. 💚

CAN I SUPPORT MY BABY BEFORE THEY'RE BORN?

Many parents wonder if there's anything they can do during pregnancy to support their baby.

The answer is yes.

Your connection with your baby begins long before birth.

As your baby grows, they experience movement, sound, touch and the rhythm of your body.

Pregnancy also places many demands on Mum's body and nervous system.

Sometimes one of the greatest gifts we can offer our babies is taking time to support Mum too.

Creating moments of comfort, calm and connection can gently support both you and your growing baby.

Every pregnancy has its own story.

Sometimes the answers we're searching for don't come from doing more.

They come from slowing down.

A quiet cup of tea.
A deep breath.
A moment to simply be.

When life feels busy, it's easy to miss the small moments that help us feel grounded again.

"The quieter you become, the more you can hear."
Ram Dass

May you find a few quiet moments for yourself today. You deserve them. 💚

Mumma, don't forget...

The way you care for yourself during pregnancy is also a way of caring for your baby.

Your baby is growing within your nervous system. When you find moments to slow down, rest and feel supported, you're helping create a calm foundation for the journey ahead.

You don't have to do it perfectly. Small moments of care matter.

If you're looking for gentle support during pregnancy, I'd love to walk alongside you.
