HALLOWEEN FUN WITH AB DISABILITY! 🎃

We hope everyone's weekend was as fun as ours! Our participants and their carers certainly got into the Halloween spirit!

Nancy and her carer Rebecca got creative carving their own pumpkins, while John and his carer Grace dressed for the occasion and headed out to check out some of the fantastic Halloween decorations around the Illawarra and experience Halloween Horror Haze.

John also enjoyed another Halloween adventure with his carer Mollie, with the pair dressing up as zombies and heading to Luna Park for a Friday night of Halloween fun!

Three different adventures, three great support workers, and plenty of Halloween memories! 👻🎃

🎸🎶 A Night Out with Jet!
Isaac and his carer Olivia enjoyed a fantastic night out at Waves in Towradgi, catching Jet live and soaking up some incredible music! 🤘
Going to a live concert with loud music, bright lights and a big crowd can sometimes feel overwhelming, but judging by the smiles on their faces, Isaac and Olivia were able to navigate it together and have a brilliant night.

🏅🎾 TWO MEDALS FOR TIM! 🎾🏅

What an incredible achievement!

An Illawarra local and one of our clients, Tim has returned from the Special Olympics Games in Melbourne with not one, but TWO medals!**

🥉 Bronze – Mixed Doubles Tennis
🥈 Silver – Men’s Singles Tennis

Competing at a National Games is a huge achievement in itself, but to come home with medals in both events is something Tim can be incredibly proud of.

Everyone at AB Disability Services is incredibly proud of you, Tim. Congratulations on a fantastic performance and an amazing achievement! 👏🎾🏅

Rachel enjoyed a beautiful morning at the beach with her carer Leigh — walking along the shoreline in the Illawarra, enjoying the sunshine and getting her feet in the water. ☀️🌊

There may have been some slightly wet clothes by the end of it 🤣🤣, but judging by the photos, it was a simple morning out with plenty of fresh air and lots of fun. 💚

🍩 A Little Treat in the Sunshine ☀️

Deb was all smiles enjoying a special treat while out with her support worker Lisa. 💕 A delicious-looking doughnut, a creamy drink and a beautiful sunny day by the waterfront — a pretty lovely combination!

Sometimes it’s the simple outings and a favourite treat that make for a great day. 😊

Ronin was out enjoying breakfast with Angel from AB Disability Services, and judging by the double thumbs-up, the meal definitely got his approval! 👍👍 A lovely way to get out into the community and start the day.

🍫 Crafting, Creating… and Brownies!

Paige has been putting her creative skills to work! 🎨 Supported by her carer Leigh, she spent time making colourful red and green beaded decorations before heading into the kitchen to whip up a batch of chocolate brownies. And judging by that big smile while showing off the finished brownies, she looks pretty pleased with her efforts — as she should be! 🍫😊

🎣 Troy’s Gone Fishing!

What a cracking day to get a line in the water! ☀️🎣 Troy enjoyed some fishing with his support worker Sarah, making the most of the sunshine and a beautiful spot by the water. Sometimes you can’t beat getting outdoors, slowing things down and seeing what’s biting!

🎳 Early Birthday Fun for Jo! 🥳

Jo’s birthday isn’t until Wednesday, but Leigh decided the celebrations could start a little early! 🥰 The pair headed out for a fun day of bowling, had some Marvel fun with Avengers and Spider-Man, and finished it all off with an early Chinese dinner. Judging by those smiles, it looks like a pretty great way to kick off Jo’s birthday celebrations! 🎂🎳🕷️
