Australasian Leukaemia & Lymphoma Group - ALLG For patients, this means an improved chance of cure, and better quality of life.

Since 1973 the ALLG has been pioneering life-changing blood cancer clinical trials, delivering innovative treatment options that transform the lives of those with blood cancer. The Australasian Leukaemia & Lymphoma Group (ALLG) is the only not-for-profit, collaborative clinical research group in Australia and New Zealand dedicated to finding new ways to treat blood cancers such as leukaemia, lymph

oma, myeloma and myelodysplastic syndromes. The ALLG membership includes more than 1,000 doctors, nurses, scientists and support staff across Australia and New Zealand, all of whom are looking for ways to better treat blood cancers through clinical research. By conducting national and international collaborative clinical trials at sites across Australia and New Zealand, ALLG researchers are helping to make new and more effective treatments available to people suffering from blood cancers.

The ALLG AMLM28 ADAPT trial is exploring new ways to improve outcomes for older people living with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).

Led by Professor Andrew Wei and Dr Chyn Chua, this innovative study aims to personalise treatment based on how a patient's disease responds, helping to deliver the right treatment at the right time.

As an adaptive platform trial, AMLM28 can evolve as new evidence emerges, creating opportunities to test new treatments and improve patient care.

Today's research is shaping tomorrow's blood cancer treatments.

Across Australia and New Zealand, ALLG's network of clinicians, researchers and trial participants is helping advance new approaches to the treatment of blood cancers.

From precision medicine and targeted therapies to adaptive trial designs, ALLG studies are exploring innovative ways to improve outcomes for people living with leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

Recent trials such as AMLM28 ADAPT and CML14 ASCENDANCE are helping researchers better understand how treatment can be tailored to the individual characteristics of a patient's disease.

For more than 50 years, ALLG has brought together experts from across the region with a shared goal: improving the lives of people affected by blood cancer through clinical research.

Many of ALLG's clinical trials are made possible through collaborations with researchers and institutions around the world.

By partnering with leading research groups across Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, we can help bring innovative clinical trials and potential new treatment options to patients closer to home.

These international partnerships allow researchers to share knowledge, accelerate discoveries and improve access to studies that are shaping the future of blood cancer treatment.

Together, we're working towards better outcomes for people affected by blood cancers.

With Blood Cancer Awareness Month just under a month away, ALLG is ready to paint the town to raise vital funds for blood cancer research right here in Australia and New Zealand!

It's simple - sign up for free to host your own morning tea event with red themed treats, gold coin donations, raffles, and host of other fun ways to come together as a community and make a difference! πŸ§πŸ‰πŸ°

When you go with friends and family, you are supporting the 20,000 Australians who are diagnosed with blood cancers like leukaemia, lymphoma, and myeloma every year.

Blood cancers treatments can be expensive and difficult to access in Australia and New Zealand. Clinical trials research is the only way that people with blood cancer can receive the treatment they urgently need.

As an independent not for profit blood cancer clinical trials group, ALLG relies on the generosity of our wonderful community to power the critical research of our exceptional members.

So HURRY! Get your community together and pop the kettle on to raise funds and awareness for lifesaving blood cancer research. For more information, please visit: https://www.allg.org.au/support-us/fundraise-for-us/

Beat the winter blues by going and raise critical funds for independent blood cancer clinical trials!

This September, for Blood Cancer Awareness Month, support the 20,000 Australians and New Zealanders who are diagnosed with a blood cancer like leukaemia, lymphoma, or myeloma every year by going ! πŸ§πŸ°πŸ‰

Clinical trials are the only way to turn breakthroughs in the laboratory into new, potentially lifesaving treatments made available to blood cancer patients who need them urgently. As Australasia's only not-for-profit blood cancer clinical trials group, ALLG is focused on innovative, patient centered research with the vision of every blood cancer being effectively treated, even cured.

But we need your help to do it. 🀝

Bring your community together and host an afternoon tea (make it as fun or as formal as you like!). With gold coin donations; games, raffles, and best dressed competitions, you are on your way to making a huge difference for lifesaving blood cancer clinical trials.

"Research is so important to continue improving treatments for diseases and conditions so that we can either eradicate them or manage them effectively for an improved quality of life." – Emma Priest ALLG Consumer Representative.
Our Consumer Representatives bring this perspective to every stage of the research process.

Through ALLG's Consumer Representative Panel, people with lived experience of blood cancer help shape clinical trials and ensure patient priorities remain at the centre of our research.

Together, we're advancing better treatments and improving outcomes for people affected by blood cancer.

The ALLG National Blood Cancer Registry (NBCR) is transforming blood cancer research across Australia and New Zealand.

It brings together real-world data - diagnosis, treatment, follow up and biospecimens, to accelerate clinical trials and improve outcomes for patients.

The NBCR also helps trial-ready patients access studies sooner ad support early-career clinician researchers through hands-on data monitoring.

β€œAccess to high-quality, longitudinal data from the Registry has enabled me to examine real-world treatment patterns and survival outcomes in older adults with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), allowing me to contribute meaningfully to the field in a way that would not have been possible via single-centre data. The insights generated through the NBCR have direct potential to improve how we risk-stratify and treat AML patients across Australia.” - Dr Partick Lawrence
