Australasian Leukaemia & Lymphoma Group - ALLG

Since 1973 the ALLG has been pioneering life-changing blood cancer clinical trials, delivering innovative treatment options that transform the lives of those with blood cancer. The Australasian Leukaemia & Lymphoma Group (ALLG) is the only not-for-profit, collaborative clinical research group in Australia and New Zealand dedicated to finding new ways to treat blood cancers such as leukaemia, lymph

oma, myeloma and myelodysplastic syndromes. The ALLG membership includes more than 1,000 doctors, nurses, scientists and support staff across Australia and New Zealand, all of whom are looking for ways to better treat blood cancers through clinical research. By conducting national and international collaborative clinical trials at sites across Australia and New Zealand, ALLG researchers are helping to make new and more effective treatments available to people suffering from blood cancers.

ALLG is proud to have three of our members, Associate Professors Chun Fong, Associate Professor Gareth Gregory, and Dr Orly Lavee, taking on the challenge of the Sydney Marathon this Sunday to raise funds to support vital blood cancer clinical trials and research.

We're especially proud of Dr Orly Lavee, who is currently Sydney Marathon's highest overall fundraiser, having raised over $44,000! 👏 👏

The ALLG AMLM28 ADAPT trial is exploring new ways to improve outcomes for older people living with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).

Led by Professor Andrew Wei and Dr Chyn Chua, this innovative study aims to personalise treatment based on how a patient's disease responds, helping to deliver the right treatment at the right time.

As an adaptive platform trial, AMLM28 can evolve as new evidence emerges, creating opportunities to test new treatments and improve patient care.
