Card of the Day ~ Eight of Imps {Halloween Tarot} This is a fast moving energy here ~ when the start button is punished, it’s 1-10 at an astonishing speed. It can be a crush that develops quickly, a job application that becomes a new job in a matter of days, a project that goes from concept to green light to fully conceived on an accelerated timeline…you get what I am saying here. This is the Tarot’s version of the “That escalated quickly” meme. This is a dynamic, forwards moving card. Things are in motion here, they were before this card even came out, so there’s no putting a stop to the flow now. There’s nothing ambiguous here ~ this is loud, bold signs and messages coming through, action being taken, no secret squirrel business at all. This is the right words, the right ideas coming into the right action at the right time. You’ve got something worth saying and doing, so go forth! Communication is a big theme ~ be clear, direct and purposeful in what you say and do.

Card of the Day ~ Four of Bats {Halloween Tarot} It’s Friday night and it’s time to nap! That’s how glorious my middle age has become, I look forward to naps like a pre-schooler. The Four of Bats signals the need for a restful retreat, a calming escape. There is a restful and necessary release from stress here, which we all need from time to time. You don’t, and shouldn’t, have to go from Ace to Ten without a stop or two along the way. This is a card about quieting your mind, bats is traditionally the suit of Swords, which is the air element that rules the mind. And just like out bodies, our minds need rest in order to recuperate. This is about thinking, resting then thinking some more. Sometimes it is when we are resting that we get the best ideas, or solutions present themselves to us. When we are at ease we can more readily be creative and engage with lateral thinking. See how the figure is in a church? That is showing us that there is a spiritual element to this rest and sense of peace. It’s about tuning out from the bustle and noise of every day life and tuning in to a more interior frequency. It can help lead to a deeper spiritual practice that can aid in overcoming a chattering, worrying ego and feel more peaceful and connected.

Card of the Day ~ Ace of Imps {Halloween Tarot} Aces in the Tarot are about new beginnings and new directions coming through. Here with the Ace of Imps, we’ve got exciting new projects, ideas and adventures. This is an energy that is exciting, impulsive and enthusiastic. The Ace is the spark. This is an opportunity, and is always a cheerleader, screaming yeah yeah yeah, let’s go! Just remember though ~ having an idea is one thing, following through with action and work is another thing altogether. The idea and being enthusiastic alone isn’t enough to get things done. Imps, which is Wands in a traditional deck, is the element of fire, which is inspiring and energising, but to be useful, needs to be controlled, directed and used as you need it. Be prepared for work, knowing it will be worth it. For now, feel the heat and enthusiasm and excitement of your idea and welcome it in.
