This is also a card about fertility and growth, the ability to plant a seed and give it all it needs to become a tree. The Empress is a card about care,self care and care for others. This is compassion and kindness. Making sure your own needs are met as well as meeting the needs of others. The Empress is also about creating nourishing, safe space for yourself and others. There is a radical self acceptance in the Empress, a willingness to be in your own skin and allow others the same freedom. There is space for everyone in the Empress’ realm. Card of the Day ~ Three of pentacles {Tarot of the Woodland Wardens, created by Jessica Roux} The Three of Pentacles has a couple of meanings to it that I think are quite delightful. The first, for me at least, is the period of apprenticeship we must all go through before we attain the mastery of the Eight of Pentacles. Natural gifts and talents will get us to a certain point; to achieve true skill and mastery takes discipline, will power, patience and sacrifice. You have to believe in yourself and what you can do with your skills ~ provide for yourself and your family, be of service in some way to others, create something magnificent for the world to marvel at. While the Three of Pentacles is asking you to make that commitment, it is also letting you know that you have the support of others ~ your people, mentors/teachers, others in your field, to help you on the way. The other way of looking at the Three of Pentacles is to see it as a card of cooperation, teamwork and collaboration. Something meaningful is being created, something with or for community, something important. It is something that takes the talents of many, and together you can create something bigger then your talents alone could create. Bees are used in this card as a symbol of hard work, industriousness and cooperation. This can also be a sign to seek out others, seek out community, to help you achieve your goals. Together you will make something lasting and meaningful.

Card of the Day ~ Nine of Cups {Tarot of the Woodland Wardens, created by Jessica Roux} This is more often then not a very welcome card in a spread! The nickname for the Nine of Cups is the Wish Card, as this is a card that sees happiness realised, confidence achieved and wishers fulfilled. Now, this doesn’t come about because you found a funky looking lamp and rubbed on it the right way ~ this is a Nine, and the suits go to Ten, so this fulfilment has come about because you’ve done the emotional and spiritual work to get to a such a place. Think about the suit of Cups ~ it contains hope, love, disappointment, discernment ~ all lessons leading to this moment of self actualised satisfaction. It took a bit to get here and you’ve definitely earned it. I just love the look on this creature’s face here, it makes me so happy. You’ve worked hard to get into this position, now is the time for some well earned joy, celebration and a wee bit of harmony.

Card of the Day ~ Knight of Cups {Tarot of the Woodland Wardens, created by Jessica Roux} The Knights in the Tarot are on a quest; their specific quest is related to their element, so here in the Knight of Cups, we are on a quest of the heart, of the creative soul seeking satiation. What the figures in a Tarot card are doing in a card with the element is quite revealing ~ here, we see the Knight holding their cup out. Think of the cup as a heart; the Knight is holding their heart out, looking to fill their cup/heart with whatever inspires love and creativity. Also note this Knight isn’t charging forwards into something, but is calm and open. I love the addition of the wings of Hermes on the helmet the Knight is wearing. Hermes was the Greek messenger of the Gods who could travel between realms. Like Hermes, this Knight brings messages ~ act on your ideas with honesty and tenderness. Allow yourself to bring the fantasy and imagination into reality, manifest new dreams and desires.
